Default Blog commenting

Ive started a report with google and they email me daily with blogs with the keywords Ive requested. Does anyone use this, is it worth doing or are the content that comes from these not as good for SEO?

Getting links from related sites sure does help. I think the way you are doing should pay off over time.

I've been using google alerts for a long time it seems like. Its a great way to find out who is talking about your websites also.

It has other use's as in spy on competitors.

Everyday i check my email to see if i have any new alerts and check them out.

Right, Google alerts is a nice source for finding relative and useful resources for your targeted keywords. Even better, you could choose from blogs, news, sites or all of them.

Have a nice day,

Im actualy commenting on all of them, Im not checking to see if its no follow or do follow, I figure its just easier to comment on them all.

Subscribing to Google alerts is a good way to keep track on your specific niche, I use it to sometimes re-write informative content on my blog and it gives lot of traffic.

This is the best strategy. This way you can build backlinks over a period of time, lets say a blog decided to change from nofollow to dofollow after some time, your link will be aged and already in it. Also for human traffic it doesnt matter if a link is dofollow or nofollow etc.

If you want to integrate google alerts with another tool for commenting, I would say try using the free AlertRank.com tool. It gives you a 'filter' atop google alerts, for each alert it gives you whether site is dofollow enabled or not, number of backlinks, pagerank, etc. so you can see if it is worth taking the time commenting on that blog or not.
