Itís getting found on the search engines without paying the search engines for the placement, and keep getting found for a long, long time. Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the volume or quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via "natural" or un-paid ("organic" or "algorithmic") search results as opposed to search engine marketing (SEM) which deals with paid inclusion.

Organic is very unpredictable thing. And it's very hard to achieve it. This is the real amount of traffic and visitors you have on your site. In this case you should have a very unique product.

I haven't found getting listed in the search engine results organically very hard. Just provide good content that contains the right balance of keywords/phrases your target audience search for and you will start showing up in the results.

Back to the original question,

Organic seo = seo that aims at or results in traffic from naturally occurring search engine rankings and positions.
Inorganic seo = seo that aims at or results in traffic from paid or bought methods including ppc.

Well said by traffi bug.. to make it simpler, try searching "car auction". The links that said sponsored links are the ones who are inorganic SEO and the rest are the organic links. Inorganic links can be at the upper serps or at the right side of the serps.

Two types of SEO
Organic SEO : SEO which is totally free for search engine optimizer to get traffic.
Inorganic SEO : SEO in which you have to pay some amounts to get traffic. e.g google adwords

Organic SEO is done without paying anything, doing manually and in natural way. Search engine loves a site who do it and give extra credits for their site in form of PR or in SERP if the keywords are properly link build.

With organic SEO methods you can add value to the brand and increase your visibility on search engines with much lower output. Natural or organic search optimization is a long stressful process of writing the content involvement, onpage optimization and link building.
